This collection documents the Denver, CO career of Doris M. Drury largely through clippings describing her career, influence, appointments and forecasting work from 1969--1999. There are executive orders in the 1970s and 1980s signed by Colorado Governors John A. Love and Richard D. Lamm appointing Drury to the Insurance Board and the Colorado Commission on the Status of Women. The collection contains her published doctoral dissertation, some photographs, an engraved tray, and seven humorous figurines of academic professors.

Doris Marie Drury was born in Louisville, KY in 1929. She received both her master's degree and Ph.D in economics from Indiana University at Bloomington. In 1963, she moved to Denver, CO and became an associate professor in economics at the University of Denver. Throughout her life, she opened doors for many women in the professional world, especially in economics and banking.
